b'Some clients had to flee their homes for safety. Leaving an abusive relationship during the pandemic presented especially challenging. When women were ready to leave and go to a shelter, they were told that they had to leave the home their kids are used to and go to a hotel to quarantine for two weeks and then transition again to shelter. This has a huge impact not only on the women but also on their children. - Jennifer Oliverrie, Transitional Support Worker -Very often clients talk about being isolated from friends and family as a result of the abuse they are subjected to. This pandemic exacerbated their experiences of isolation. This pandemic has been also very challenging for children and adolescents.
