Tending to Trauma

Reclaiming and Caring for the Body

Tending to Trauma is a supportive 10-week group program designed for survivors of intimate partner violence who are ready to deepen their healing in community.

In this program, participants will explore how trauma lives in the body and learn gentle, practical ways to support their nervous system. Through guided discussions, reflective practices, and shared learning, participants will build a personalized toolkit for self-care and healing.

Together, we will work toward reclaiming the body as a source of safety, power, wisdom, and pleasure.

This group provides a warm, respectful, and supportive environment where participants can connect with others on a similar healing journey.

What We’ll Explore

Throughout the 10 weeks, participants will:

  • Learn how trauma impacts the body and nervous system

  • Explore ways to support emotional and physical regulation

  • Develop practical tools for grounding and self-care

  • Reconnect with the body through gentle awareness practices

  • Build community with other survivors in a safe and supportive space

  • Reflect on personal healing and reclaiming personal power

Each session is facilitated by experienced counsellors and designed to honour each participant’s pace and comfort level.
