Our Mission
To provide a safe refuge, counselling, support and advocacy for women and their children who are fleeing violence; while also working towards a more equal society where the inherent value of all women is recognized and celebrated.
Our Vision
All women have choice and opportunity to live their lives in dignity, with equal access to economic and social opportunities and freedom from violence.
Women’s Habitat integrates several overarching ideologies throughout all areas of our work. We are committed to continuing to approach our work through a poverty reduction and gender equity lens. We support and incorporate anti-racism/anti-oppression and trauma-informed principles and practices across our programs and with all our stakeholder groups. We stand by these guiding principles and philosophies which will help us to achieve our strategic priorities and promising practices in order for our vision and mission to be fully realized.
