It’s time to “Own Your Strength”
Own Your Strength is dedicated to empowering women and changing the way we view our bodies – when we learn to love our bodies for everything they can do, we open up the potential to achieve our own personal goals in health and wellness.
We are honoured to be a part of the Own Your Strength Movement, the brilliant brainchild of Rachel Henry, personal trainer and women’s rights advocate.
Rachel began this movement to inspire women:
“I started Own Your Strength because too often women feel they need to change themselves in order to be happy: “When I lose weight I’ll be happy” “When I get more muscle I’ll be attractive” “When I get new clothes I’ll feel pretty”. We place an enormous value on our appearance and often go to great lengths to make sure that we look good for OTHER people, forgetting how beautiful we are for whom we are and what we’re capable of right now in this moment. Own Your Strength is a movement to remind women that they are beautiful and enough as they are now, no need to change to fit a model of beauty that’s unattainable and teaches us that we’ll never be enough. When we can stand in that and really own our own strength, we naturally treat ourselves with more compassion, nurture and care for our bodies, and reach our physical goals as a result of simply changing the way we look at ourselves.”
