Community Connections- Handy Skills for Everyday Living Part 2

October 27 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Our group programs focus on building practical life skills, fostering connection, and promoting wellness in a supportive and empowering environment. Through hands-on activities such as gardening, cooking, and budgeting, participants will develop skills that support independent living while creating opportunities to connect with others, build confidence, and have fun. These groups encourage creativity, teamwork, and self-sufficiency, while providing a safe space to learn, share experiences, and strengthen community within the program.

October’s topic:

Handy Skills for Everyday Living

This hands-on group is designed to build confidence and independence through practical everyday home skills. Participants will learn how to tackle simple household projects such as patching holes, hanging curtain rods, assembling items, using basic tools, and making small repairs. Through fun, interactive activities, participants will have opportunities to practice problem-solving, follow instructions, work as a team, and discover that they are capable of doing more than they may have thought. The group encourages creativity, independence, and pride in creating a comfortable and well-maintained living space.
