In 2023, our community raised $49,046 in this annual event… so we’ve got our sights set on something just a little bit higher.
Police-reported domestic violence in Canada has increase every year for nearly a decade. The problem is growing, and so is the need. But we believe that together, we can change the course of our future.
It is not enough to address the needs of victims. We also need to work for the lives of those at risk, and prevention in our society as a whole. Our shelter, services and programs have served women, youth, and children for over 40 years. In that time, we have evolved to be a truly multi-service organization, to meet emergency need and address prevention. But, we still have a long way to go.
As Spring brightens up our days, and colours once again return to the world around us, it’s the perfect time to be a part of the light that sustains it. Your bids, your purchases, your donations… they all serve to brighten the future.
